***** Real Ocean Water

To All,
I don't have an RO system, so I have to buy water for water changes. My LFS sells saltwater for .90 cents a gallon, but I'm hesitant on buying water from them - their tanks look like crap, everything they do is jerry rigged. So I have been buying "***** Real Ocean Water", besides the $2.40 per gallon price tag is their any other downfalls?
Thanks
Matt

"jerry rigged"? Are you testing the water parameters of the water before you add it? I as well would worry about buying anything from them.

I used it for a while with no adverse effects. I got aggravated with how much I was spending so I got a RO/DI system. Me and my girlfriend like to keep track of how much we would've spent in that saltwater since we got our ro system and starting buying our salt... Oceanic 200gal salt mix - 30.99 , RO/DI system from a fellow hobbyist (3 stage and membrane)- 80.00.. Total investment 110.99... That ***** water is 2.50 where I live, and we've done about the whole 200 gallons worth of changes which would've cost about 500 exlcuding tax..... Worth the initial chunk of change?? HELL YES!

You could also buy your own salt and purchase RO/DI water. Not sure where you are located. The supermarkets around here have it for .25/gallon in a large machine. I buy mine from my LFS, I have occassionaly mix as well.
