I ordered 15lbs of premium rubble last night hopefully be here Thursday. anyways i went down to the LSF to see if they had any rubble i figured they might even give me some for free where i buy so much and its just rubble. So i ask how much for the rubble she told me live rubble is $6.99/lb i couldn't believe it that seemed insane to me.

My local shop sells rubble for $3.99 I think. Base for $4.99 and fiji or what ever the "premium" rock is for $9.99.
Maybe she just didn't know the difference between the different types for some reason?

Where there's a buck to be made.... there's a buck to be made...

...Now if they started charging you additionally for the pods, algae, sponge, and hitchhikers... that would get interesting.

I added about 50 pounds of small and broken up Oyster shells about a month back as apposed spending more money on Live Rock again for a sump-fuge expansion project. I had some good "seed rocks" in there already.
... Seems to be working about the same with little to no cost...... Plus it seems to work as a additional buffering materiel too!

yea i just plan on buying about 40lbs of dry rock and then letting the rubble seed the dry rock will take longer but be more affordable.
