I got this trickle filter last week. I am finally getting around to hooking it up. Got all the connections made except the return pump to the return hose, I need a connector I will get later.
It is a aqua clear filter. If I get the water flowing down the tubes into the filter how does it know when to stop. It looks like it will just keep flowing until the filter is full then over flow. The water level mark in the filter is only about 4 inches high. Can I fill this filter with water now before I get the pump going to simulate a power outage without getting the carpet wet? My only experience with an under the stand filter is a Magnum but at least that was a sealed canister!
