Hmmm how about...YMCA, The Twist, Rock Around the Clock, It's Raining Men, Twist and Shout(Beatles), Jumpin Jack Flash, I'm a Believer(Monkees version)

If you're having a father/daughter dance there's some new country ballad called "Stealing Cinderella" that would be a great song for that. not sure of the singer i'm sure if you google it you can find out.

So Happy Together by the Turtles. The lyrics are perfect for a wedding couple dance.
If you're employing a DJ, they should be able to put together a good selection of dance music.

we walked in and were introduced to van halen's Right Now, and the last dance was Green Day's Time of your Life. In between was whatever--no rap though.

Ummm...not really sure about this one if you're implying the song by soulja boy. there's a very nasty and dirty meaning behind that song...
cha cha slide is a fun one for people my age (25ish). it's our version of the electric slide :)

Just please don't play "She's Lost That Loving Feeling"!
I can not believe how many times I've heard that at a wedding and wondered, "Do they not get it?"

When I got married I had to bribe the DJ (who I friggin paid for to begin with) to throw in a Queen and AC/DC song. Another One Bites The Dust and Highway To Hell

What this guy did was set up sort of a script for the music so it all tied together, sorta. He had it spaced out so there were slow songs spaced in at the right intervals and breaks and all.

A good song to end the night is "I know who I want to take me home" or it might be called "closing time."
