goldrush,
hi, thanks. My tank has been up since Dec 25. It finished cycling about mid feb. I had a couple of green chromis (4) and 2 yellow tailed damsels (all about an inch in length). The ammonia and trites are 0, trates run between 10 and 15. I used to leave the light on for about 12-14 hours a day, and the LFS said thats why i had so many diatoms. I cut the light to 6-8 hours a day and it is reduced, but it's still quite a bit. I added 2 false percs a little over a week ago, and all elements remain unchanged. The base is 2-3 inches of CC and an inch of LS. I would go all LS if I new what I knew when I set the tank up. So you live and learn. thanks. I just want something that will eat up the fish waste, food, and algae. I plan on adding 2 more false percs, and eventually a regal and yellow tang - thats in addition to what is listed below. Thanks again.
