I have a yellow tang, yellow angel, blue fiji damsel, and a pink anthias in my 180 now.
What would you guys recommend as my next addition? I need some orange and red in the tank, so think of those colors.
Thanks :)

achilles is my favorite fish actually but I know they are very difficult to keep alive. I've always been successful w/ yellows, but could never keep a powder blue/brown alive in my 60 gallon. But w/ the 180 the achilles will probably be happy? Don't you think?

I've never seen achilles tang in real life, and LFS never carries it, so I might order it through this site.
By the way, how many tangs would be enough in a 180 (6x2x2) tank?

alright, thanks. I've never coughed up $100 for one fish, but w/ the achilles it's worth it.

5 tangs... no way. Even 4 would probably be problems.
Why go with another tang when they are so ick prone? If they are unhappy, any or all of them could get ick and have problems. There are thousands of great fish to get. Harlequin tusk, majestic angel, bigeye squirrel, miniatus grouper, red snapper, harlequin sweetlips... to name a few.

Have you ever had 5 tangs at a time like suggested above?
Also, no one mentioned whether these fish would be quarantined.

I would really love to have a flame angel, but the last time i threw in a flame angel w/ a yellow angel in my 60 gallon tank, the yellow killed it by chasing it all over the tank and abusing it.
Do you think I stand a better chance trying a flame angel in the 180?

Dwarf angels will often fight in an aquarium. That being said, the answer is yes, you have a better chance of a flame angel surviving in a 180 gallon than in a 60 gallon. A lot of people have successfully kept more than 1 dwarf angel. I say go for it.
