I am going to start my own DIY or multiple frag tanks. 2: 48"x24"x10". I need recommendations for equipment. I need opinions for lighting (needs to be 150w MH), skimmer, and possibly a calcium reactor.
Thanks- Josh

On your frag tanks are you opting for growth or coloration? I'd honestly opt for SE bulbs, just because better bulb choices as far as color temp IMO....Another thing you could do is look at using a light mover to save on lighting, and still get the coverage.
I did get your PM, and will respond here shortly!!!!!! Holiday "honey do list" first!!!!!

On the dimensions we talked about earlier...I would look at a reflector such as the Lumenarc 3 or Lumenbright Mini, and it would be a perfect fit and would give you coverage front to back and side to side, and would use the 36" light mover rail. Both reflectors would easily cover the 1' on each side. The Lumenarc 3's have a coverage of 3'x3'. Plus they aren't your traditional reflector that needs to be mounted 12". The higher you can get them the better coverage you have with them.....HTH

You can see I made a jig to do the top eurobracing for Flowers original sump. As the pic shows the corners are rounded not square. If needed I will actually take some scrap I have and do a step by step if my PM was a foreign language. It's harder for me to explain than do it or show how to do it!!!!!!!

I am starting to notice out here in my lfs that fewer stores carry the selection of SE bulbs have any of you seen this or do you think this trend is just local to me.

Acrylic if you do it step by step do it so it will work on my build

I cannot believe how expencive acrylic is. $100 for 48"x48"x3/8" piece, it's insane

Yeah acrylic can get expensive, and it's price does fluctuate and oil prices factor into it's cost. I will give you a step by step on how to relieve or radius your corners after the holiday festivities.....Don't want to even dare track any mess into the house till after Sunday!!!!!
