Those are the single worst thing that has happened in my tanks, I pick out a bunch every week and they are so frustrating because they are so hard to get off living rock or just about anything else. Been told that emerald crabs will eat it but the one I added did not live long enough to find out.

I like bubble algae. I think it looks really cool, like marbles. It comes of really easy for me and I only keep it in the areas I want it..

I don't mind the green bubble algae and it is very easy to control, but the red bubble algae in my tank seems bent on total domination.

OH ....I never had red, it sure looks cool. I would think they were the same just a different color. Very interesting.

Yes there is green there too but i took out a lot of them, just a few smaller ones still kicking around. the red ones seem to have a few different colors like shiny almost chrome, and probably just reflecting the colors of near by stuff.

We had lots of unwanted bubble algae in our tank, too. We got rid of it by biweekly water changes (vacuum really well, get out all you can), then, if you can, leave the lights off in the tank for about a week. You will likely have to repeat this cycle 2-4 times but it will get rid of it.
