I currently have 2 clowns in a 12 gallon tank. I have had them for a few months now and they seem to be doing fine. I keep the specific gravity levels around 1.022 and check the PH and Alkalinity every week. I noticed that more and more red and green algae grows all the time. My question is my $40 anemone used to look like this

but now it looks like this...

Does anyone have any tips or know a way that I can get it look like it did when I first bought it? And obviously still be safe for my tank. I tried to scrub it with a the rough side of a sponge and it still didn't do anything. And the people at my local ***** and Petsmart are to dumb to know anything. Also I would like to know if too much red algae is bad for the tank.
