Red Algae?

My tank is starting to be over ran with what looks to be red algae? What causes this and what is the best method to remove this?

Sounds like it may be cyano, just keep trates down, and do frequent water changes.

Is this a new setup? What are your water parameters?
Wait it out, do water changes 10% a week, if you are using R/O DI water to mix salt and top off eventually it will die off after it has used up all the nutrients it needs to survive.
If you are using tap water..... Stop. Get a R/O unit.
