I think I am getting a bit of red slime algae on my sand. what is the best way to get rid of it, other that water changes, i do those regularlly. and can i run my actic (sp) light all day and leave the vho off without hurting the corals? and if so, will that help kill the red algae?
thanks

It could be from many different things. High phosphates, old bulbs, over feeding, lighting period is too long, or low water flow just to name few.

try to point the powerhead in the direction of the cyono, keep lights down to 5 hrs a day and slow down your feeding, when doing a water change suck out as much algea as possible.
