Red Algae

Hi, my tank of 9 months has a red algae growth. It's bright red and short (not hairy or slimy). Any idea what it might be? Thanks.

cyano , check your phosphate level as it should be 0 .Phosphates and dead spots is commonly the reason .

u could be overfeeding. do a small water change often and cut back on light. alos buy a few turbo snails. they will eat them in no time.
