Red Bristle?

So far, owning a Saltwater tank is a pleasing experience for me, new things seem to pop up everyday, feather dusters on my live rock, discovered that my live rock also has brown zoanthids on it. But, coming into my room after class, I found a red and white worm was inside an empty shell, kinda small. I believe its a bristle worm and have read that he is bad and can eat corals, if I am not mis-informed how would be the best way to catch this little guy?

Common bristleworm, actually good detritous eater! No worries!
If you really want to get rid of him, I guess you could toss the shell with him inside, but I guarantee there are more!!

Most bristle worms are fairly harmless. They are mainly classified as "Watched" so that if it DOES decide to go rogue and start eating your corals. You could do away with it. Otherwise its mainly a "extra food" and junk eater plus I think they stir the sand some as well.
And :
If you decide to remove them from your aquarium, here's a few tips:
1. Don't touch the bristles, they can sting badly. Wear rubber gloves.
2.Traps can be bought or made. The trapping concept is pretty simple, lure them into a container, using bait, that the worms can enter but not exit.
3. Inspect live rock before adding it to your aquarium to help prevent hitchhiking bristle worms from getting into your aquarium in the first place.
4. You can get critters that eat bristle worms. Dottybacks, various wrasses and coral banded shrimp are a few examples.

well, last night I was spying around with a flashlight in the tank, and seen a white mass, scared me cause I didn't know what it was, so after thinking I realized one of my shrimps molted, but the white mass was moving! There was a worm dragging it underneath the liverock, it was cool to watch! Gosh I love my tank and I just have one rock in there so far lol, going to Indy to get some more live rock monday at $4 a pound.
