Are they soft bladders? You know how the green stuff can have a really tought exterior? Does the red stuff you have seem softer than that?

Hi,
The bubbles have a tough skin like the green bubble algae.
Any thoughts? Someone suggested a Rabbit fish.

I have never seen nuisance red bubble algae. I'm sure a rabbitfish would eat it.... mine would eat newspaper. How big is your tank?

nothing eats red bubble algae , you need to manually remove the rock and scrub it very well, of course rinse it very well also before putting back into tank

I also have this stuff. If you brake them, they have a slimmy clear substance inside. To me the skin is not as hard as the green.

this stuff is horrible ! i have it all over my tank as well, spreads really quickly and is hard as heck to keep under control.
ive heard people with red bubble alga putting emeralds in and they took care of it. i guess that certain crabs like different things?
