Red Bubble-Morphing ID Anyone?

OK I know I'm in the wrong section but the ID room has spiderwebs in it!
Anyway I have these red bubbles that grow larger then open up like a mushroom and do not recede at lights off. you can see the red bubbles in the pics
Best pics I can get (Camera sucks Saved up one time - bought new lights instead)

Can anyone ID these ? If they are one of the undesirables
I can pluck them out now!
They are in strong flow only and close to the lights if that means anything.
Any suggestions will Be helpful.
Is there a good site for marine biology for identifying organisms?

Hard to tell for sure from the pic, but it looks like it may be red bubble algae. Try doing a search and see if it looks like any of the pics that turn up. If that is what it is, you will want to get rid of it if you can.

Crap pic but almost looks like some funky pocket of coraline starting up.
Any way of getting better pic to make a judgement?
