Hey All,
Long time listener, first time caller here... I just inherited a saltwater tank from my father in law and let me tell you this thing needed
A LOT of help. I'm talking red algae from top to bottom with wacked out levels. I got the tank walls all scrubbed up and 99% clean and have slowly worked the water levels (pH, etc..) back to reasonable levels. Now onto my question, on one of my live rocks there are tiny red hair like follicles that are like wrapping the rock. My wife and I are thinking that this is a form of worm, lets just say we are flipping out wondering how to get rid of them, if they are ok, should the rock be thrown out.... PLEASE HELP!!!!

Look up spaghetti worm. Or it may be a type of algae. Like Geo said a picture would help in the identification.
No flipping out here!!!
