Red Head Solon Fairy Wrasse ?

Do Red Head Solon Fairy Wrasse bury themselves in the substrate at night or for protection? I purchased one for my 75 gal reef last night. This morning I cant find him. I do not have covers to help the heat dissipate from the 2-150watt MH.
So hopefully He is in the substrate and not somewhere dried up on the floor.
Thanks for the help.

I never had one had Christmas wrasse they bury themselves in sand. It may take several days to come out, when it gets hungry he'll come out. Just continue life as usual. Other wrasses will hide in cracks in LR in a cocoons.

I had a red corris and it will go to sleep under the sand every night. This is normal for wrasse and like Jack said above, they will come out when they are hungry so don't worry too much. :)

Thank you Mr. Limpid, you are so right on the money. I also should of quarantine.
Well I put the covers on so hopefully he is still in the tank.
I have a potters wrasse that hid for a week before I seen him after putting him in my DT.

Most definitely quarantine, especially after having fish in your DT. You don't want to get healthy fish sick. For many reason you aways want to QT. It is easy and all you need is a 10gal tank. If you want to know my QT set up send me a PM and I'll send you the directions.
