Red Macro Algea turning green?

I have three different type of Macro algea in back of my chamber 2. The other two are doing fine, except the red one. Red ones are turnning greenish. Are they dying? Should I remove them? thanks

Oh i use a regular desk lamp with a 40 watt that suppose to produce 60watt those umm power compact lighting. Shinning through the back of the tank where i scrap off the paint.

Well, I doubt it's dying it usually turns white or dark brown when dead but I suspect your problem may be caused by inadequate lighting. I have a planted tank and the algae planted behind the rocks is generally less colorful than the other algae in the tank. Your algae is probably fine it just won't maintain the red color in dim lighting. I hope this helps!

Either it isn't getting enough light, or enough nutrients. Either way, it isn't really anything to worry about.
