red scooter blenny

I have two black and white scooter blennys and got a red one today and he died in about 4 hours

any ideas why

what did he look like any marks or damage done to its body. and how did you acclimate him to your tank?

I put the bag in the water for about 15 min and then put some of my water in waited for a while and placed him in with my net. The same as the others. When I found him the cleaner shrimp was having a feast

how long was he in the bag for?

what are your water parameters in your tank?
I think *just my opinion* that you may have gotten a sick fish to start with.
the acclimation wasnt the greatest really should have been a drip acclimation over about an hour or so.

I think he was sick too. I will be a bit slower next time.. I am a new fish tank keeper ..Water Parameter? I take my water in and they check it and most of the time it is great. Yesterday all they said was (all was fine) Thanks for helping

i would make a suggest and thats to get your own test kits so that whenever you see a problem you can take some readings and we can help you alot faster if other issues arise.
the main test that are needed
ammonia
nitrite
nitrate
PH
salinity
these are the main items that people are going to ask for to help you if you are going reef there are a few more
