Red Sea or euro-reef?

Im in the search for opinions(or suggestions) from experienced hobbyist who have dealt maybe with one or both of these skimmers. red sea (berlin venturi) or a euro-reef. Any downfalls or poor quality in skimming etc.??

For what size of a tank??? And which euro-reef skimmer are you trying to compare with the berlin???
Anyway, the euro-reef works well for in-sump. They cannot do hang-on at all. I am not too familiar with the berlin. The remora pro I believe it's a hang-on as well. If it's aqua-c in-sump type, it's the Urchin Pro skimmer. I do run a regular remora over a nano tank and it does pull out a lot of junk every week. It's fairly thick dark junk, so I like it too.

There's no comparison between the 2 skimmers you mentioned totally 2 different classes....Euro is needlewheel, Berlin is venturi. Euro is your better choice of the skimmers mentioned and why not look at the ASM or Geo skimmer line.....ASM same as Euro and a little cheaper as well, not sacrificing quality either......
If you want raw skimming power check out Beckett skimmers as well, but a little expensive

If Red Sea skimmers function as poorly as their saltwater test kits then I highly encourage you to buy a different brand.

Although I use a Berlin and have never used a Euroreef, I would say do the Euroreef. If you do the Berlin, I would at least add a kent venturi to it. It was free for me and overall I like it, but I reckon it is not the best for the money.

Why does everyone seem to push Euro, when they are exactly the same as ASM, but your paying for Euro's name and better acrylic???? Bottom line ASM and Euro preform the same and the bottom line is saving a few dollars IMO.....Plus Euro isn't known for their customer service either!!!!
