red sea prisim skimmer

to any one who has one of these skimmers.this skimmer never worked right from the beging,so i tried a little exp. i cut off about an inch and half off the intake and it seems to be doing a better job.i have a remora in my other tank and i
love it,evetuly i will buy another one .but if you have a prisim try it what do you have to lose.
