I need help from anyone who uses a Red Sea Prizm Protein Skimmer!!!
I just setup my 50g tank and started cycling today. When I setup my skimmer the manuel said to adjust the flow rate to where the water flow is just below the o-ring of the throat of the collection cup. I adjusted the flow to where the bubbles(which I'm assuming is the water flow) is just below the o-ring of the throat of the collection cup. My problem is that there is nothing going into the collection cup. How can matter go into the cup when my bubbles(water flow) is way under the o-ring?
- Your wisdom and help would be greatly appreciated

A new setup does not have many of the particles that are impacted by your skimmer. Wait till the tank starts cycling before even turning on the skimmer, since its not doing anything yet.

This is my prizm on my 46 reef.
it's a little loud and needs adjustment from time to time. I think it's rated for a hundred gallons. IMO I wouldn't put it on anything over 55 gallons. It does produce pretty good and is a low budget skimmer that seems to work. My water quality is very good. I clean it about once a week. Remember though you get what you pay for. Don't complain if it's extra work, or is loud if you bought on a budget. Look at your water quality and production of the skimmer. This one seems to work. and for 70 bucks it was better than nothing.

They are overflow drains... I drilled out the second. I've had mine overflow a couple times. So I did that.
