Red Sea Prizm Skimmer

I just got a used Prizim skimmer and it didn't come with the instructions (great condition though).
The problem that I am having is that it is making a loud gurgling sound, and the over flow (made for yucky foam) fills up with clean water quickly.
It does have water flowing through nicely (taking water in and constant return).
Anyone have this problem before? Any ideas?

Okay, you need to turn the flow down until it is almost off, then you slowly adjust it until you are just getting the yucky foam in the cup. hope that makes sense.

I did that and it worked....for the yucky foam. The suckung sound is still there.
I tried having water and without water in the first chamber of the tank. The sound was still loud no matter what I did. Any thoughts?

It is kind of a loud skimmer, since I can't hear the noise I don't really know. You may want to take it apart and put it back together.

Do you have the siphon hose attacthed to the barb on the cup. Its the hole next to the priming barb.

When you have the flow tuned pretty well, it will be hard to notice the flow coming out. It sounds like you have it too high. You want to keep the foam line about 1/4" below the bottom o-ring on the collection cup. Then adjust to you get just foam no water. The first airose barb is for priming, the second is for normal operation. Mine makes a bubbly sound too, but after awhile it just becomes soothing

Sorry, but you will need to get used to that sound. This is venturi sound. Make sure that black piece of rubber air intake pipe is connected to the collection cup.
TIP. There is one section that used to be empty (by manufacturer's directions). Fill it with fresh water. This may act like silenser...Well, kind of .
