Red Sea Sohol Tang?

Anyone know the differences between a red sea and a Normal Sohal tang,?

My atlas says Sohol Tangs come from the Red Sea and the Arabian Gulf...same fish.
Mine was sold as "Red Sea Sohol" and looks exactly like the regular "Sohol" currently at my LFS. Coooool fish. Do you have one?

I just got one today , a real nice red sea, never seen one here before, has hints of blue in it, LFS say they rarely get them they gave it to me for 70.00 hes about 6 inches or so,

i have one he is real beautifull has orange stipes onhis body and is always showing off in front of the tank

i would be careful when buying anything that they claim to be from the red sea. ive seen alot of lfs labeling the nicer specimens of their new shipments as red sea fish only to get a higher price. alot of times people have never seen or researched the fish and have no idea whether they actually come from there or not(including myself).

Yes, "insiders" have told me the same thing...Sohols are supposedly ONLY from the Red Sea/Arabian Gulf area, though. You should be safe with those...

As far as I know they are mostly from the red sea but can bre found and are seen in the Indo Pacific. $70 is a great price for a 6 inch sohal no matter wether indo or red sea. Enjoy him.

I was once very much afraid of a Sohol tang. Beautiful fish, but man, that thing wanted me out of his territory ASAP. Many attempts to slash me!
