Actually, you have a different species than the other :) The bright red is really that bright red...

New180 and SWF most likely have the same species (the red serpent) - Ophioderma squamossisimum. YOu have an Ophioderma, but not this species. Squamossisimum gets very large, and is quite bright red.
It is probably a smidge oversaturated on the red...but really, they can be quite bright.

I'm a she, and my picture of the red serpent star is not altered in any way. I would never alter any pictures from my aquarium, because I want to see the beauty as it naturally is. I took the picture at night when the lights were off, so the flash of the camera really brought out the bright red color (is this what you mean by saturated?). But it looks that bright red to the eye as well.
