Red slime problems

how do you get rid of this red slime algea that growing on my sand bed? Will a emerald crab or sand sifter goby get it?

by red algae I assume you mean cyno bacteria. increase your water flow at the sand bed usually its caused from a lack of water flow that hels it get a foot hold.
as a extreme measure they have a product called chemi clean that helps rid the tank of red slime just read the directions carefully and follow them.

Hi Mike! Jonesboro/Amigon folk here! Been awhile...
I agree on the waterflow, also protein skimmer flow.
Not a fan of additives, here.

me either but sometimes its the only fix but the underlaying problem needs to be fixed also I think I forgot that LOL
kewl on the jonesboro are there any good LFS there I get up there about every 2 weeks or so with the job.

I don't think I ever saw a pet store, much less SW specific...it's been a long time, I'll ask my Ma.
Rbrockm1, I have a 3 yr old tank that flares up when the skimmer is not working properly. I can always tell....

Crabs willnot eat cyno. You need more flow, less feeding, and RO/DI water. How often, and how much water doyou change. 20-25% every week worked for me, along with 2 small powerheads.
