My lfs was selling this terrific product called Red Slime Remover. Recently the FDA/ EPA raided the store and took the enitre stock. Something about the product was not approved by the EPA Has anyone else heard of this in there area.

i have used it. works fine.
if you have red slime issues, and need a cure, there is a sticky in the archive section of how do it without buying anything.

the stuff i used is made by UltraLife.

IMO problems that are in our systems are best resolved by understanding the cause and curing it. Dont waste your money, spend your time and research instead. And yes i have heard that this product does work well for a short period of time.

it temporarily solves the problem, but itll eventually come back. like everyone said, its best to look at whats happening with your tank. get a test for your phosphates and nitrates

so have i and it works just remember to turn off your skimmer the stuff will caure your skimmer cup to fill up very fast

we still have some on the shelf in my store in NE.
funny how this has become a "discussion" about "curing" red slime algae.

i couldn't get rid of it till i used the red slime cleaner stuff, i had corals too, its all gone now and never came back!
great stuff!
