red slime

I had a problem with red slime in the past and I was able to get rid of it. Everytime I put my lights on with in a hour or so I see the alge start to come back on my sand. Could my lights be going bad? My levels are normal. :help:

How long has it been since you changed your bulbs?

Levels are normal? What does that mean for phosphate? The bulbs could easily be part of the problem but I would check phosphates first if you haven't.

Phosphates are 0. When I shut the light off last night and got up this morning most of it was gone.
