as if i don't have enough problems having ich , now with
new light EVERYTHING is growing and the leader in the race
red slime. there is some stuff i can add to the tank for this
x amount per gallon, question is how often will this need to be done ..................once a week forever? don't have a clue been told nothing eats this stuff either. enlighten me please and thanks. probably to much feeding dosen't help, feed once a day.:(

Red slime is normal for tanks to have.. its caused by too many nutrients in the water column. My tank had the same problem and it eventually went away. I would advise not to add any foreign chemicals to a tank. The more natural you can make it... the better. :D
