Looks like Botryocladia skottsbergii , red bubble algae. Strange that it is growing on the powerhead like that. Do you have it elsewhere in the tank? I would probably remove one bubble and see if it breaks open outside of the tank. Should have a kind of thick skin like a grape. If it is that I would remove the powerhead and scrub it all off.

guessed red bubble algae..just a game I play to sharpen my knowledge without doing damage to another person seeking advice, since I am guessing I don't post...anyway..bubble algae is easy to dislodge and the power head draws the water to it, that's why anemones get sucked up...they follow the water current. I think the bubble algae did the same thing and began to grow.
