My green chromis has this reddened area only at the base of the fins...no other symptoms right now. Eating well, clear eyes, active and no signs of outward distress. All I can come up with is a possible bacterial infection called septicemia...anyone heard of it? Have any recommendations? I'm moving him into the hospital tank tomorrow, just thought I'd pick your minds about this septicemia thing. Is it contagious? Do I need to treat all the fish? Also, I have another question not related but here it is: I have dozens & dozens of these teeny tiny black worms in my tank, like this big --- . Any idea what kind they are and if they're good or bad? Thanks for any help on this!!
Oh, almost forgot. Here's a briefing on my tank: 55G FOWLRLS, Just finished cycle last month. PH-8.2, Ammo-0, Nitrite-0, nitrate-0, temp 80. SG-1.024 Inhabitants: 2 green chromis, 2 tank raised percs, 1 cleaner shrimp and a few snails & rock crabs. Emperor 400 filter plus the LR and LS. Thanks again!
