reef lighting question

Do anemones require actinic light or is that optional? I'm looking into getting a MH fixture for my 72 gallon bow front, but I’m not sure how much actinic I should get. Do to the heat issue associated with MH lights I'm also looking at the 48" Orbit Extreme 520w PC light system. Do you think 520w of pc lighting is sufficient to keep most anemones?

no, they don't need actinic lighting to survive. They do fine under 10,000K lighting, but look better with some actinics.
520w of PC on a 72 bowfront would be enough for BTA anemones, but borderline low for anythign else. You should be fine if you get a few of the bulbs as 50/50 for some blue light to make things look pretty.
That many watts of PC will put out a lot of heat on it's own. Probably comparable to 250w of MH lighting. Just something to think about.
