just need to know how long per day keep lights on in a small reef

what kind of lights? How small of a tank.

Most people keep their lights on around 14 hrs a day. I keep my actinic PCs on from 7am-9am and then 3 VHOs come on along with the PCs until 7pm and then the VHos go off and the actinics stay on until 9pm.

i run my actinics from 11am to 11pm, and my "daylights" from noon to 10pm.

I vary my time that I keep my lights running. Most of the time I keep them on for about 10 hrs a day but sometimes I knock it down to 8 when the sun is bright in my living room.

I work early, so when I get home I want to see my fishies. I have my actinics turn on at 0900 <img src="graemlins//eek.gif" border="0" alt="[eek]" /> and off at 2100 <img src="graemlins//confused2.gif" border="0" alt="[confused2]" /> . My MH turn on a 1000 and off at 2000.

my vho's come on at 9 and go off at nine. My mh's come on at 11 and go off at 6
