reef newbi has ?????

I turned my 30g w/110w. PC,1clarki 1yellowtail into a reef sys.I added 10#lr,WHich I will add 10 more this weekend.my levals are good except 4 nitrates which are at beteew 10 and 20! They will come down.I got a deal on a mush rock 1 week ago it is doing great open and full Got an anemone and a flame scalop from a friend and they are both doing good,all I want to add now are pylops and some leather coral. May be I could hear some info on feeding lighting,and water levals from you folks.Any help would be app. Thanx all.

I would suggest that you cycle the live rock in a heated bucket with a powerhead. The nitrate may end up killing what you already have.
I have never had a leather coral but I do have two moon polyps that are extremely hardy.
They were on a piece of lr that I baught and they both survived the cycle.
Try not to disturbe the mushroom rock for another week, they need time to ajust.
I would keep and eye on the flame scallop becuase they are predetory and will eat a fish.
