Reef Ready Oceanic's

I have read some earlier posts about pre drilled tanks having problems with a waterfall effect/noise coming from the built in overflow. I just got my 135g RR Oceanic last week, havent set it up yet, I wont actually for a few more months. My question is, in those previous posts, people just extended a pipe up to the water line. Well, the tube that came with it was perferated all the way to the top, and had a prefilter to go on the side. Am I going to have this same problem? SHould I just replace that tube with a new one? Or will this let the overflow partion fill to the top, eliminating any unwanted noise? Any Ideas?

I just did this on my new 72 gallon Oceanic bowfront. It takes some playing with the air hole size and pump return rate, but it is well worht it. I cant even hear the overflow unless I take off the canopy and glass tops. HTH
