do you use live rock as bottom rocks too? does it matter how you set up your rockwork?
can someone give me few tips on how to set your rock frameworks?

this is really a hard question to answer because there are alot of things to consider.
you want to try to spread your lr around the tank(i don't think it really matters on top or bottom).
try to get gaps between rocks for water circulation. also place rocks where they will not fall(very important).
but the most important thing is "have fun" ;)
this is where your tanks personal personality will start from.

Hey,
I used Tufa and lace rock for a base with the larger pieces on the bottom for stability. I built in a lot of caves for better water circulation and for places for fish to hide. (Fish will actually stay in the open more if they have a lot of places to hide nearby.) I then put the LR on top of the base rock. All together I used 50 lbs of base rock and 60 lbs of LR in a 55 gal tank.
HTH.
Take care,
Dan'l :D
