Is there a reef safe angel? I think they are beatiful fish and would love to get a juvy emperor or queen or regal angel.. BUT will they eat my corals or CLAM? My tank is getting ready to start cycling and i am doing research on what i want in the tank. So far,
2 perc clowns
1 yellow watchman
3 cleaner shrimp
1 yellow tang
1 blue naso
1 lawnmower blennie
assorted snails / hermits
I am just looking for that last fish that just makes the tank 'POP'. Looking at their info. on SWF.com it says that none are reef safe .. so if an angel wouldn't work what other fish is out there that has extrordinary color and can be a 'centerpiece'? Thanx for any suggestions

Besides the iffy dwarfs you could look into Genicanthus sp. Like a pair of G. melanospilos. aka Blackspot Angel, reasonably hardy and very active, dont hide much.

Lamarck's
Swallowtail
Watanabei
And my personal favorite, The Bellus

I would not recommend any angel until the tank has matured to at least 10 months or so. I would also encourage you to reconsider the naso for another tang if your tank is going to be a 120. It is one of the larger tangs, and they really need alot of swimming room.
