I bought a camelback shrimp from the LFS and was recently told that he will eat my $$$$CORALS$$$$!!! (not by the LFS owner!) Anybody have any input or experience with these little water bugs?

They ate my yellow polyps before I removed the little $%@#%@. I can't speak for any other corals as they were gone before they got any farther. The "reef safe" status on them at SWF.com is listed as "questionable."

As far as I know they are not reef safe and they have gotten their chelipeds on some of my yellow and green star polyps too!

Yes they will eat star polyps. I have a pair in my 20g and that is the only coral they have ever touched. Things they haven't bothered include various mushrooms including ricordia, button polyps, porities corals, clams, flower anemone, featherdusters, bubble coral. Can't say about any sps as this tank doesn't have any.
