My emrald comes and goes. He is always somewhere doing something but sometimes he is behind the rock. But for the most part he is all over the place. Sometimes he can blen in pretty good in the tank.

I dont think there is a min but I am not sure the one I have is huge. But they are just scavengers so not much on your bio load.

What size tank are you thinking about putting the crab in. a small emerald can go in a small tank just remember if there is no food available even the safest crabs will turn to coral or even nipping fish to survive

+1 always remember a crab is a crab it is going to eat. And from what I see with mine it eats alot.

It would be going in my 75 gal reef. Are they pretty active or do they hide alot?

You will not see much of them during the day but at night with a red light they are great fun to watch
