Reef Sand

Well come to find out what I have in my tank isn't CC. I was looking around at a LFS and saw the difference between CC and sand and what I think I have is coarse reef sand. It isn't live sand it just came in a bag. So does this still make my UGF as bad of a problem? <img src="graemlins//confused.gif" border="0" alt="[confused]" />

Depends - as long as you are not having any nitrate problems then no worries.
I had to remove my CC because of the ditritous that was being captured in the substrate sending my nitrates through the roof.

For now everything seems to be fine and since what I have is coarse reek sans can I add some LS on top and help the other sand become live?
