Reef setup

Hello,
I have been in the hobby for about 2 years. I currently just upgraded my 30 gallon tall marine tank with a 40 breeder. I spent some time putting this tank together, I have:
Coralife 36inch T5HO 1-10000k and 1-Actinic 78 watts total wattage
50 pounds live sand (10 pounds from old tank to seed)
40 pounds of live rock (30 from old tank)
API Nexx filter with extension ( up to 110 gallons)
Fluval E 200 heater
Beamswork 24inch LED 400 (only use for moon light at night)
Currently saving money for a good protein skimmer.
PH: 8.0
Amm: 0
Nitrite:0
Nirate: 10
I wanted to start getting into reef but I do not know if my lighting is going to work. From what I have read on the internet looking at watts does tell the whole story. The 40 gallon breeder is only 16inchs tall. So what kind of anemones or coral can I keep in a tank with this setup?
I was also thinking about converting my 30 gallon tank to a sump because it will fit under my stand.

Hi!
Welcome to the site.
When I ran my 40g breeder (my favorite tank by the way - they just make great reefs), I ran a Coralife T5 4 bulb unit 2 10K bulbs, one 420nm actinic (purple) and one 460nm actinic (royal blue).
I had 2 bubble tip anemones and SPS. They needed to be kept near the top or they would brown out. A DIY LED kit wouldn't run you too much for a 40 breeder, something to think about.

If you want some coral suggestions with the lights you currently have to get your feet wet, look at xenia, anthellia and mushrooms.
If not, they sell some pretty good, affordable led fixtures on the internet if you aren't the electronic savvy type person.
