Reef Shark?

Right now I have a 120 tall with a bamboo shark, a 2' sfe, and undulated trigger and a yellow tang. I want to get rid of the trigger and turn it into a reef, my only question is has anyone ever hand a reef (minus the shrimp and other inverts) with a shark in it. Only problem I see with with her knocking stuff over during feeding time. Also I want to upgrade the lighting, I want to keep mostly easy stuff (xenia, zoos, shrooms and a corn anemone) and have maybe a clam and a little sps really close to the light. I really like PC's but I dont know how much I would need, also MH is out because I cant chill my water and I kind of need an enclosed light because I dont have a canopy. Like I said i really love the PC's I have over my 10 gallon reefs and I want something like that but on a bigger scale.

Shark will probably eat the crabs and shrimps, although maybe it wont try to eat cleaner shrimps if shrimp will clean it
I dont really think that someone had tried it. You can maybe try a different aquascape for shark that it wont crush the corals and rocks.
btw i would try anemone or other stinging corals. They can hurt the shark.
Good Luck

you need lots of rock for a reef. shark needs lots of sand. not a good combo your shark will scrape on the rock and get an infection and die most likely. i wouldnt recomend it. but also mh's arent out of the question cuz you just build a canopy with them 6-10" above the water and put 2-4 fans in the canopy then you wont have a heat issue at all.

Do reefs need lots of rock for filtration or for looks, because if it is just looks then I would be ok. I have kept an condi anemone in that tank before and the reason I took it out is because after about 5 months with it in the shark brushed just a little bit against it and took off around the tank VERY fast and into the glass. When it comes to the Bamboo sharks they dont need huge amounts of open space because during the day and most of the time for that matter all they do is hide in the rocks. My shark has about a 3 inch scar on her left side where she was scraped on a rock about a year or so ago and it healed up nice in about a month or so.

dont put a shark in a reef... when they are in FO tanks they need minimal lighting. any shark let alone a bamboo who hides all day would be miserable under power compacts or metal halides... i would not do it
