Just curious to know what everyone adds to there tanks at least once a week as maintenance or food supplement or just general health? Have you had any bad experiences w/ a supplement.

kent marine zoe (food supplement)
kent marine c (less often)

I use reef vital DNA for coraline supplements. Started to see a bloom of it in a week.

I'm glad to see someone having luck with Reef Vital DNA. For some reason, the only thing I can grow with it is Cyno. Go figure. Anyway, all that I add to my main tank (with calcium reactor) is, Kent Turbo Calcium, Kent Tech M (Magnesium), and Lugol's (Iodide). As for the others (no reactor), I add the same as above, plus Seachem's Reef Advantage Calcium, and Reef Builder. Reef Builder is an awesome coralline stimulant by the way.

maintain cal,ph and alk. Feed good foods like formula 1 or homemade soak with selco or zoe if needed. The rest is a guessing game and a waste. good foods have all the trace

I do top offs with Kalk in a dosing pump 24/7 and I add a half strength dose of b ionic daily.
I have heard mixed reviews of marc weiss products, I just wish the guy would post what the heck is in there......then I might try it.

For establishing calcium and alkalinity I use Seachems Reef Advantage and Reef Builder...to maintain established levels of calcium and alkalinity I use daily top offs with kalkwasser...for feeding suppliments I use DT's phytoplankton 2-3 times a week and soak most foods in zoe and/or garlic...for maintenance of trace elements I try to do a 5% water change once a month.

Is it okay to use one of those bottle dosers that use gravity to drip in kalkwasser? If so do you use plain water and just let it drip 24/7?

I'll second the reef vital DNA. I really like it. I I know several folks that swear by it. It is not the DNA that is causing the cyno outbreak. I also dose the 2-part B-ionic. You raise calcium with a calcium chloride like seachem and then maintain it with something like a 2 part additive or kalk.
