Reef Tank build

So I have been out of the hobby for a while after my 92g Corner tank crashed because of a bum heater but I have recently started to get back into it.
what I have done so far is build my own tank. I had alot of issues with my corner tank and I wanted to make sure my next one was exactly the way I want it to be. The "tower" part of the tank is 18''x 20'' width and 26'' tall the lower section is 28''x30'' and 10'' tall. I have filled it with water and left it for about 72 hours is did not leak or crack and I am very happy with it. I plan to run a hose through a hole I am going to drill in the glass up and through a tower of rocks to the top in order to keep a good flow in there. I will also add powerheads as needed. I also plan to make a baffle to keep the fish away from the canister and to keep any micro bubbles from going up and into the tower.
My intention was to have it be a seahorse tank but after looking through their compatable tankmates I am not sure. I really want to have clams and a few fish that may be to quick for them. Midas Blenny and Mystery Wrasse are the two that I am having trouble giving up. I have considered just doing a divider so the seahorses can't get at the clams.
At this time I am just looking for some feedback ideas, tips, critisism anything you guys think I should know.

Oh man, I can't wait to see water in this thing. This would work well for seahorses as it is more vertical than horizontal. But man that thing is going to be a pain in the butt haha.

How it works is as the bottom fills with water, I suck the air out of the top tank or "tower" and the water is pulled up. It will not overflow unless air is allowed into the tower. if further explaination is required I will take some pictures of filling it up.
