Reef tank cleaners combination question

Hi, I try to purchase some tank cleaner crews for my 40gal reef tank. Anyone can give me an idea for a combination of hermit, snail and shrimp or anythings else? Thanks.

This is a good start on researching your CUC requirements

You'll get mixed opion on this one, so here is mine. Some like snails and others like hermits, I wouldn't mix them because hermits kill snails for sport (to eat and get there shells). I perfer hermits the clean sand and rocks but not glass (don't care I clean glass) and the more fun to watch. Nassarius snails are good they stir up and clean sand bed. As for shrimp eat depends on what you like, I don't recommend camel shrimp they will kill your coral and peppermint may also (had them they killed a polyp so I gave them away).

Hi there! I also have a 40 gallon tank, so I'll just list here what I have for CuC because I'm happy with what they do.
1 big Turbo Snail (for the rocks and glass)
6 Trochus Snails (for rocks and glass)
5 Astrea Snails (for rocks and glass)
8 Nassarius Snails (sand sifter)
9 Hermit Crabs (just regular, gray legged ones, for getting beween the rocks)
1 Tuxuito Urchin (cool to watch, keeps algae under control)
2 Emerald Crabs (for algae)
1 Arrow Crab (awesome looking, great at getting decayed/dead matter out of cracks in the rocks)
1 Diamond Goby (excellent sand sifter)
1 Cleaner Shrimp (fish medic, picks at stuff on the rocks and sand, awesome personality)
2 Peppermint Shrimp (makes Aipasia disappear)!
The only issue I had is the Turbo and the Urchin tend to knock corals over, but thats nothing a little epoxy didn't fix. I figure I have all my bases covered plus even the CuC members are interesting and entertaining to watch. Heck, I only got an Arrow Crab and an Tuxuito Urchin because I think they are cool, but the fact that they clean the tank was a bonus lol.

Urchins do not belong in a tank that is not loaded with algae, because they starve. Wartooth puts algae sheets out...
I don't think it will keep it alive past 6 months but we shall see.

Yeah, I should point out that I didn't originally get the Urchin for CuC purposes. I just got it because I liked it and I do feed it algae strips. Its been 2 months now as so far so good.
