i have a 100 gallon saltwater tank. i would like to make it into a "Reef Tank". I know i need better lighting first of all. What other items are paramount for a reef enviroment to thrive? Thanks

how far along are you in setting up this tank. first consider the bottom of the tank.

agree with RR again. read through the tank setup section of this site which should be very helpful, make sure you have lots of rock and at least seed a sand bed. i believe in the plenum way to go, but that's just MO. make sure you provide a reef structure that is conducive for your fish to swim in and out of and places for them to hide as well as enough crevices and plateaus to place your corals
