REEF to FOWLR?

I have been in the reef tank hobby fro about 4 years now. Ive had my good tanks and my bad ones. I have never been the best with corals and i end up wasting my money on them. I currently have a 28g SW tank with some liverock, but no live stock. It has been running since april of this year and the only fish it has had was a yellow tang that no longer is alive sadly. So now i have been thinking, should i take a brake from corals and extra work and go with fish only? Im 14 and money is an issue with everything. I know because i have been in this hobby since 4th grade, LOL. I have always wanted to keep a tank without all that stress under my before bed. I have been wanting to keep eels, and angelfish, and those fish for the longest time. Is this shift from reef to FOWLR a good decision? or is it just more money i dont need to be spending because my tank is too small for a fish only.

Hi, i am a young saltwater aquarium keeper aswell, and i know how frustrating and disapointing this hobby can be at times. here's my sob story. we got a 265 gallon system last Christmas, and planned to build this amazing reef. we started buying corals and other stuff from local reefers, until we got a parasite and a boat load of copper that someone forgot to tell us was in their rock. long story short we lost about three thousand dollars worth of coral. this was sad, but then we got this "wonderful" idea to go FOWLER. about a week later we descided not to give up on our dream of a great reef. the copper got rid of the parasite, but now we still have the copper to deal with. we are slowly removing it in order to restore our reef!
~Anyway the moral of the story is dont just give up on what you want!
Do you want a reef tank? What equiptment do you have? Lighting?
ps. what corals have you kept in the past. maybe you arent a bad reef keeper, you just chose the wrong corals.lol

+1 and fish a yellow tang in a 28gal
there are very easy corals you can get i have some mushrooms in my daughter's tank under just flourescent light's and they do fine! they might not grow real fast but they look good and healthy.you will only be able to keep a few small fish in a tank that size maybe a clown pair or something. and research everything before you spend the money on a coral to see what lighting and flow it needs see if its a hardy coral or not
