I have just started my new redsea tank. Its only been cycling for about a week now, and I just added my 150W (20,000 k bulb) halide fixture. Im going to be adding more liverock pretty shortly when I get a chance to grab some more from work (I work at a fish store
)
so here it goes....
Equipment, filtration etc....
Stock redsea protein skimmer
Biocube UV sterilizer
150 W metal halide
Naturalsea wave maker
Original red sea pumps with added hydor deflectors, plus one additional maxijet 1200 w/ deflector
Matrix filter media by seachem, zeolite media, carbon, phosphate media, neozeo salt... etc
5 inch sandbed w/ built in plenum.. oh yes. jaubert lol ( 2 inches of stupid crushed coral, 1.5 ARM pure aragonite, and finally 1.5 inches of bahamas zoolite sand
Im probably forgetting something but ohwell. Here are some pictures, let me know what you guys think so far... Ill keep you updated

Nice so far. Following along here. Are you using TBS rock???
thanks man, Im actually not sure if it is definitely TBS rock.. they didnt ship it in water so i guess not. I went into work the other day and this awesome, coralline algae covered rock was in our tanks.. it has full coral colonies, clams, red bubble and other macro algae... this stuff is pretty amazing. I know when they ship the rock to us it comes the same day. well see what happens
