...to a little "bring your own" party. Thought it would be a good day for all that can to contribute a shot or two(or four) of our reefs. I know individually we all like to spend time looking at our reefs....its almost as nice to peek at the reefs of everbody else too.
Its always a pleasure to look at pics of systems other than my own...so I'll share if you will. Don't be shy ... just post up a recent pic...or a couple if you have them...lets get a pic sharing "BYO" party going that lasts all weekend.
I'll start with a decent close up of my metallic green bubble. Its been with me now for over two years and has grown from maybe baseball sized to nearly basketball sized. It currently has a spot on the far right side of my new display well out of reach of potential victims! It goes have a tendacy to be a bit aggressive if neighbors get too close. Someday I may need to remove this coral from my display especially if it continues to grow...its a shame there has been little success fragging corals of this type.

I also have a couple of group pictures I took just a few minutes ago...each provides a little peek at different sections of my reef....

After seeing the "canyon" in Steveweasts 850 I tried to duplicate the effect in my 54 corner...:notsure:
Obviously on a much smaller scale...
OK, OK... So it's more like a "gully":D

Yup...those two get along great. I named 'em Frank & Jesse James. I've still got just a few individual valonia colonies from the outbreak in the old 55 and several times I've found the foxface ripping them to shreads. I've I refuse to feed him fresh algaes on a regular basis he'll eat anything and everything he can find growing in the display.
Thanks for the positive comments...in truth I am really pleased with the new display and will soon start selecting new additions to the collection of corals.
