reeflo dart making noise

I had a dart for the last 2+ years. always was quiet. when it starting getting louder i would clean it 1-3 times / year.
lately, it makes a lot of noise , even when clean. other pumps i was told to spray wd-40 in small opening, which would lube it, but this pump does not have anything like that. i tried wd-40 on the visible external impeller shaft, and it did nothing. anyone have any ideas?

Can you describe the noise?
Given the pump's age, a shaft seal is the prime suspect, but I'd like to find out more about the noise first.

By cleaning...did you take the pump off the motor, take it apart and vinegar bath it?
Have you noticed any decrease in flow?

it is no longer a smooth quiet hum. it is tough to explain, but it the general hum is louder and there is something that is tapping / rubbing / knocking in the rotation... make the noise sound chunky , unclean.

i did not know that this could be done, i just removed the case cover and cleaned the impeller. is there documentation on that process somewhere? a PDF online or something? i did not buy this new, so i dont have any manuals.

Given that the pump has been in service for two years plus however long it was in service before, I am thinking that you probably have a shaft seal in need of replacement.
But I could well be wrong. I'd call the manufacturer and talk directly to them, if it is a part that needs replacing, they should be able to source it for you.
The manufacturer's number is 877-378-6798
If you do call them, I'd love to hear what their recommendations are for when the shaft seal should be replaced, as I run two sequence pumps myself.
It could also be a shot motor bearing. I had this happen on an Iwaki once, and it made sort of a metal-on-metal noise when running. I took the pump apart, took just the motor to a repair shop, and they slapped some new bearings on the shaft for $15 while I waited. You need a special tool to get the bearings off the motor shaft without damaging it, so I decided to just let them do the job. If that's your problem, there should be a motor shop in your area that can do it for you.

So the disassembly instructions say to put a screw driver in the fan end to lock the impeller shaft , so that i can remove the ceramic impeller.... this thing is on there pretty good, and i am thinking i might strip this screw... any suggestions ?

The screwdriver slot should be quite large... use the biggest screwdriver you can fit, even if it means buying a new screwdriver.
I've never seen the impellers give much resistance... I wonder if the impeller has rusted onto the fan shaft... that would explain it, and might also indicate a shaft-seal issue, where water is leaking internally in the pump housing.
It might help to have two people... one person hold the impeller and the other hold the screwdriver.
One of those new impact drivers that are out now would also help if you have access to one.
